Brad Micro-Change (M12) Cat6a connectors were designed to meet the high-speed data acquisition and transfer requirements needed in harsh industrial environments.  While able to protect from the elements, conventional form factors such as RJ-45 and M12 D-Code only support Cat5e Ethernet speeds, but sometimes that’s just not enough.  Cat6a M12 X-Coded connectors support Ethernet speeds up to 10 Gbps per second with frequencies up to 500 MHz.  Sealed Cat6A RJ-45 connectors that are twice the size of the M12 form factor can be replaced by the Brad Micro-Change (M12) Cat6a system, enabling the use in smaller enclosures.  It’s also a true 360°, shielded design that confirms to TIA and IEC Cat6a specifications.
