Phillips-Medisize, a Molex company, used its unique collaborative design approach to help a global leader in ocular treatments design, develop and manufacture a better solution for treating wet age-related macular degeneration.
Why it matters: Nearly 20 million people worldwide suffer from wet age-related macular degeneration. It’s the leading cause of blindness among people 60 or older.
How it worked: Phillips-Medisize gathered a broad team of experts in manufacturing, design, human factors, as well as the customer’s pharmaceutical and clinical experts, to work through a problem statement: How does Phillips-Medisize manufacture a novel new solution?
