At Molex, you can start your day off right with a refreshing round of competitive basketball, an instructor-led cycling or yoga class, a quick energizing jog, a gainful morning lift or even a hearty omelet made to order. Not a morning person? No worries, Molex also offers a plethora of organized team intramurals, therapeutic massages and other fitness related tournaments throughout the day. And for those of you who are starting to wonder if Molex is a health club – were not, but that doesn’t stand in the way of the company’s daily dedication to Health and Fitness.

It comes as no surprise that healthier employees tend to be happier and more productive members of the workforce, and Molex recognizes the importance of leaving time in an employee’s day to maintain a healthy lifestyle. This year, Molex took a step further in demonstrating their commitment to health and fitness by becoming an official sponsor of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. And I, like many of my co-workers, are extremely excited to be a part of such an amazing event.

Prior to working at Molex, I spent my last 4 years obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Marketing at Bentley University in Boston, MA. During that time, I developed a great admiration for marathon runners and the festivities that accompany the hosting of a marathon. So, as you can imagine, learning about Molex’s sponsorship of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon was thrilling and humbling, but at the same time not surprising.

These past few months leading up to the marathon have shown me how much Molex is committed to health and fitness beyond the four walls of the fitness center on-site. The products we design, sell and manufacture are frequently used in fitness and medical applications such as treadmills, health data monitors, headphones, fitness trackers and many more. In addition, we are continuously developing new electronic solutions for our customers and are excited to continue our work in such an important field.
