Molex Fitness Center Member of the Month
Jackie Hoheisel is a Customer Service Systems Supervisor and has been with Molex for 17 years and a member of the fitness center since 2005. In her free time she likes to ride her bike or electronic scooter around the neighborhood with her son and also enjoys ice skating and amateur photography. Jackie makes a tremendous effort to be healthy so we thought we’d ask her a few questions about her routine, how she stays motivated and any tips she might have about maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Q: How do you stay active with your friends, family, or pets?
I enjoy playing any sports with my son. We play soccer in the yard, ride our bikes, play catch, ping pong and I love to go swimming.
Q: Who has been your biggest supporter when it comes to your exercise program?
My Molex work team has been so supportive when it comes to exercise. We work out together most days of the week and sometimes wear matching outfits. We also keep each other accountable when it comes to food choices. I am very thankful Molex takes health and fitness seriously.
Q: Do you have a specific routine that you follow when you workout?
I don’t really have a specific workout routine but I do prefer to take group exercise classes. The group exercise classes at Molex push me towork harder than I would on my own.
Q: What are your health and fitness goals at the Molex Fitness Center? What is your workout philosophy?
My goal is to increase my muscle strength and cardio endurance. My philosophy is to give whatever workout I’m doing my all! I’m also open to trying new exercises and classes.
Q: What motivated you to begin your exercise routine?
Honestly, I had some really bad stomach issues that motivated me to change my eating habits. While doing this I also lost weight and started feeling better than I had in years. This motivated me to get to the fitness center and plan out my fitness goals.
Q: What motivates you the most when you find it hard to make it to the fitness center to get your workout in?
My workout team talks about what class we are going to take daily. I also appreciate the emails from the fitness staff if they haven’t see me in the fitness center.
Q: What healthy habit are you most proud of? What healthy habit do you wish you had?
The healthy habit I’m most proud of is I’m gluten free. I also try and stay away from added sugar and processed foo
ds. I still need to work on eating me veggies!
Q: Any nutrition tips?
The biggest tip that works for me is taking the time to food prep on the weekend. It takes me 2-3 hours but it ensures that I make healthy food choices during the week. One healthy item that’s always in my fridge is Honey Crisp apples. The are great to take on the run. One item I like to treat myself with is Manna Coconut Cashew butter. It’s amazing and will change your life!
